Role Purpose
Works under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
Responsibilities:
- Take in and hand out prescriptions.
- Prepare and label prescribed medicine (under supervision).
- Sell over-the-counter medicines and offer basic advice.
- Manage stock, shelves, and general customer service.
Training:
- NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (or trained on the job).
- Not required to be registered with the GPhC.
